The Deran Peak Expedition is an exciting high-altitude mountaineering adventure to Deran Peak (7,266 m), located in the spectacular Hindu Kush mountain range of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Surrounded by dramatic valleys, glaciers, rugged ridges, and towering Karakoram and Hindu Kush peaks, Deran Peak offers a challenging and rewarding experience for experienced mountaineers seeking to explore a remote and less-traveled region of northern Pakistan. The expedition takes climbers through remote mountain landscapes toward the Base Camp, followed by acclimatization and progressive movement to higher camps before the summit attempt. The route involves snow, ice, glacier travel, steep slopes, and exposed high-altitude terrain, requiring excellent physical fitness, previous mountaineering experience, technical climbing skills, and strong mental preparation. Day 01

Arrive Islamabad international airport and transfer to HotelDay 

Drive to Chilas via Babusar Pass 12-14hrs

Drive to Minapin village 6-7hrs, overnight at hotel.

Trek to Hapakun 4-hrs.

Trek to Tagaphari 3-4hrs.

Trek to Diran Peak base camp 5-6hrs.

Trek Climbing period at Diran Peak base camp (21 days).

Trek down to Tagaphari.

Trek down to Minapin and drive to Karimabad (1hr).

Drive to Naran via Babusar Pass (4173m).

Trek to CoDrive to Islamabad (6-7hrs)

  • Private transportation according to the expedition itinerary.
