Cigarette Peak Expedition
The Cigarette Peak Expedition is an exciting high-altitude mountaineering adventure to Cigarette Peak (5,881 m), one of the distinctive and technically challenging peaks in the Hushe Valley of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Known for its striking shape and dramatic location among the towering mountains of the Karakoram, Cigarette Peak offers climbers a rewarding combination of glacier travel, steep snow and rock sections, rugged ridges, and breathtaking alpine scenery. The expedition begins in Islamabad and continues toward Skardu, followed by a scenic journey through the Shigar and Hushe valleys before trekking toward the mountain's Base Camp. Climbers gradually acclimatize while traveling through remote valleys, glaciers, and high-altitude terrain before establishing suitable camps and preparing for the summit attempt. The expedition requires good physical fitness, previous trekking or mountaineering experience, technical climbing ability appropriate to the route, and proper preparation for changing mountain conditions. With experienced expedition leaders, professional mountain guides, local porters, camping facilities, and comprehensive logistical support, the Cigarette Peak Expedition offers an unforgettable opportunity to explore the spectacular Karakoram and experience a challenging high-altitude climbing adventure.
