Gasherbrum II Peak Expedition
(8035M)

Gasherbrum II Peak Expedition Overview

Gasherbrum II rises to 8,034 meters, making it the world’s 13th tallest peak. It is part of the Karakoram range, which is the second highest mountain range globally. On July 7, 1956, a team of three Austrian climbers—Hans Willenpart, Josef Larch, and Fritz Moravec—successfully reached the summit. The mountain’s terrain is steep, rocky, and covered with ice, presenting a tough challenge. Skilled mountaineers who possess strong technical climbing abilities are best suited to take on Gasherbrum II.
