A relatively gentle trek leads directly to the base of the mighty Masherbrum (7821 m), offering breathtaking views along the way. This short journey into the core of the Karakoram range is ideal either as a standalone adventure or as a warm-up for those planning to explore higher elevations in the Gondogoro Valley. The only glacier crossing involved is a simple, 30-minute walk before reaching the base camp. For those heading further into the Gondogoro Valley or towards the K7 Base Camp, an alternate route (see Days 4–6) passes through a restricted area and may be a practical option.
