Hunting the Himalayan Ibex is considered one of the most traditional and demanding forms of mountain hunting. The process usually begins by climbing to a higher vantage point to spot the animals using binoculars or spotting scopes. Once a suitable Ibex is located, the hunt proceeds with a careful and strategic stalk, often ending in a long and challenging shot. In some cases, guides may use an improvised drive technique to gently push the animal toward a concealed hunter. The rugged terrain of these high mountains is often too steep for horses, requiring hunters to be in good physical condition and ready for strenuous hikes in harsh, alpine environments.
