Nanga Parbat (8125m) is considered one of the most stunning peaks on Earth. It features three distinct faces—Rupal, Diamer, and Raikot—each offering a unique visual and trekking experience, with separate access routes starting from different valleys. To explore the Rupal Face, the journey typically begins from Gilgit or along the Karakoram Highway (KKH) to the alpine village of Tarashing, located at the end of the jeep-accessible road. From there, it takes approximately two days on foot to reach the Rupal Base Camp. Reaching the Diamer Base Camp requires a longer approach, usually taking three days of trekking due to the more remote and rugged terrain. The route to the Raikot Face starts from Raikot Bridge on the KKH. From there, local jeeps take you to Jail, a small settlement in the Tato Valley, near the base of the iconic Fairy Meadows. This itinerary is designed to offer views of all three faces of Nanga Parbat, with high pass crossings along the way. For flexibility, the program can be adjusted and shortened based on available time, with multiple exit options built into the trekking plan.
