Gandogoro Peak Expedition
(5748M)

Gandogoro Peak Expedition Overview

Hushe village marks the end of the jeep road and is located 140km east of Skardu. It serves as the starting point for expeditions and treks to various summer pastures and five glaciers. Following the Charakusa River, we pass shepherds' summer camps and ascend towards Gondogoro Pass, at the junction of the Gondogoro and Charakusa Rivers. Here, we cross a wooden bridge to reach Shaieshcho, a large shepherd settlement with a mosque. The next day, we trek to Dalchanpa, meaning "field of flowers," a stunning campsite at around 4,150m, nestled between two lakes. The clear waters reflect Masherbrum Mountain and the glacier descending from Masherbrum Pass.
