Shipton Spire is a striking rock formation within the Trango mountain range, located just a short distance from the famous Trango Tower. Situated approximately three miles across the Trango Glacier, near the meeting point of the North and South Hainabroq Glaciers, Shipton Spire stands prominently above this glacial confluence. It lies about a two-hour trek from the main Trango Towers group on the Upper Trango Glacier. Its primary climbing route is a 29-pitch big-wall climb, stretching about 4,400 feet. The difficulty ratings on various pitches—ranging from 6c to 7b+—make it one of the finest technical climbs available on Karakoram granite.
